We’ve collaborated with High Impact Professionals (HIP) to build a repository of talented professionals motivated to make a substantial contribution to environmental progress. Impact-oriented organisations can use the Talent Directory to recruit new staff and share opportunities. Joining and using the Effective Environmentalism Talent Directory is completely free of charge for both job-seekers and impact-oriented organisations.
How it works
Register for the Talent Directory. Fill out the signup form with your name, contact details, work preferences, etc. to let high-impact organizations know more about you.
Choose a privacy option. Choose whether you want to join the public list (available for anyone to see) or the private list only (available only to high-impact organisations registered with High Impact Professionals).
Get notified of high-impact opportunities. Impact-oriented organisations can browse and filter the Talent Directory, and reach out to you with high-impact opportunities that align with your job preferences, location, and experience.
Apply to opportunities you find interesting. If you are contacted with an opportunity you like, follow the application instructions you received from the organisation
Keep your profile updated. Please update your record as often as possible. Maintaining an up-to-date profile is the best way to maximise your chances of being contacted with opportunities. If your profile is not updated for more than one year, your profile may be deleted. You can use this form to edit or remove your record.

Do I need to pay to use the Talent Directory?
Using the Talent Directory is completely free of charge for job-seekers, recruiters, and organisations looking to share opportunities. We will never request money to add, edit, or remove your details or to view the records in the Directory. The maintenance of the Talent Directory is funded by philanthropic donations to High Impact Professionals.
Can I edit or remove my profile?
Yes. Please update your profile as often as possible. Maintaining an up-to-date profile is the best way to maximise your chances of being contacted with opportunities. If your profile is not updated for more than one year, your profile may be deleted. You can use this form to edit or remove your profile.
What is High Impact Professionals?
Effective Environmentalism collaborates with High Impact Professionals (HIP) to deliver this service. HIP is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to enable working professionals to maximize their positive impact. HIP manages the Directory's back-end infrastructure and organisations that wish to access the private directory.
I want to work on other high-impact causes, such as global development and animal welfare. Can I find impactful work in this area through the Talent Directory?
Yes. Please indicate your preference to work on these or other cause areas in the sign-up form.
How is my privacy protected?
When you sign up for the Talent Directory, you can choose whether you want your record to be public or private. If you choose ‘public’, your profile is publicly available for anyone to see; however, please note your email address is NOT displayed publicly. If you choose ‘private’, only high-impact organisations registered with High Impact Professionals can see your record. We do not sell your data or use it for any purpose other than the ones mentioned on this page.
